Why bother, when Wikipedia exists?
Because the errors this site corrects live in the gap between reference works and search behavior. People search for Absolem, the bald twins, and quotes the book never contained, and what meets them is quote-farms confidently wrong. A small site that is precisely right about one book, with citations down to the chapter, serves that traffic better than either encyclopedias or the farms. Accuracy about small things is the whole brand.
